About Utsav Madrid

We are a cultural and community organisation based in Madrid, founded by a group of Bengalis who have made this city our home while carrying India close to our hearts. What began as a longing for the festivals, art, and music we grew up with has grown into something bigger — a meeting point between two cultures we love.
Through festivals and pujas, food, music, dance, and shared stories, we celebrate the richness of Indian culture in all its colour and diversity — and we open our doors wide. Whether you are part of the Indian community, someone from Spain curious about new traditions, or simply someone who loves to discover, learn, and celebrate, there is a place for you here. We believe culture is at its best when it is shared. India and Spain are both lands of warmth, family, food, and festivity — and when those worlds meet, something beautiful happens.

Our Mission
Utsav Madrid exists to celebrate the richness of Bengali culture while bringing people from all backgrounds together. Through shared experiences, cultural events, and community initiatives, we create opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate diversity. Our goal is to foster meaningful relationships, promote cultural understanding, and build a vibrant, welcoming community in Madrid where everyone feels at home.
We believe that living away from home is an opportunity to strengthen our bonds, share our rich heritage with the world, and create a second home where everyone feels valued and connected.
Our Story
We are just getting started. Our community was born in 2026 out of a simple wish shared among a group of Indian families in Madrid: to come together and host our very first Durga Puja. What began as that shared inspiration has grown into a warm circle of friends and families, building new traditions far from home and welcoming everyone who wants to celebrate with us.
